Treatment of Pyoderma: Indicated for the topical management of bacterial skin infections (pyoderma), particularly localized areas such as skin folds, paws, and ear flaps.
Management of Malassezia: Effectively controls yeast overgrowth on the skin surface.
Antiseptic Cleansing: Used to disinfect and clean localized skin lesions, hot spots, and interdigital areas (between toes).
Barrier Support: Specifically formulated to help restore the skin barrier and maintain skin hydration while treating infection.
Cleaning and Maintenance: The pads can be used to clean and treat infected skin, or can be used to clean and maintain healthy skin.

DOUXO S3 PYO Pads Active Ingredients
Active Ingredients:
Chlorhexidine Gluconate (3%): A potent antiseptic agent with broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as yeast.
Ophytrium (0.5%): A purified natural ingredient (derived from the root of Ophiopogon japonicus) that strengthens the mechanical skin barrier, balances protective microbial flora, and reduces inflammation.
Machanism: The chlorhexidine disrupts the cell membranes of pathogens, causing rapid microbial death. Simultaneously, Ophytrium works at the cellular level to prevent pathogen adhesion and soothe irritated skin, preventing the "rebound" dryness often seen with high-concentration antiseptics.
 
DOUXO S3 PYO Pads Administration
Safe for use in both dogs and cats.
Application Frequency: Typically used once daily for 2 to 4 weeks or as directed by a veterinarian. For maintenance or prevention of skin-fold infections, use 2–3 times per week.
Administration Method: Gently wipe the pad over the affected area, ensuring the solution reaches the skin (especially in long-haired pets).
Rinsing: Do not rinse after application; the active ingredients are designed to remain on the skin for maximum efficacy.
Precautions: Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If the pet tries to lick the area, distract them until the solution has dried (approximately 10–15 minutes).

Common Side Effects: Localized skin irritation or redness may occur in pets with hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine.
Safety Warnings:
Ototoxicity: Do not use inside the ear canal if the eardrum (tympanic membrane) is ruptured, as chlorhexidine can cause permanent hearing damage.
Eye Irritation: May cause severe irritation or corneal ulcers if the product comes into contact with the eyes.
Safe Duration: Safe for localized long-term maintenance in pets prone to chronic skin-fold dermatitis (e.g., Bulldogs, Pugs), provided no irritation develops.
Storage: Keep the container tightly closed to prevent the pads from drying out.
