Pro-Otic HC Main Uses
Helps reduce itching, redness, and inflammation in the ears of dogs and cats.
Indicated for corticosteroid-responsive, non-specific otitis externa (outer ear inflammation) as an adjunct to specific therapy for the underlying cause of the ear issue, such as bacterial or fungal infections.
 
Pro-Otic HC Active Ingredients
Hydrocortisone 1% w/v: a mild topical corticosteroid that calms inflammation and itching in the ear canal.
Supporting ingredients: Propylene glycol, ethanol, lactic acid, fragrance, parachlorometaxylenol, FD&C Blue No 1.
Mechanism of Action: hydrocortisone reduces the local inflammatory response in the ear canal, easing the swelling, redness, and irritation that drive head-shaking and scratching.
 
Pro-Otic HC Directions for Use
Clean the external ear to remove exudate and debris before treatment.
Instill 5 to 10 drops of Pro-Otic HC into the ear twice daily, massaging the ear canal to spread the product, or as directed by your veterinarian.
If there is no improvement within 5 days, consult your veterinarian.
 
Pro-Otic HC Safety & Precautions
For external (otic) use only. Avoid contact with the eyes.
Do not use if the eardrum (tympanic membrane) is damaged.
Store in a cool, dry place (15 to 30°C) and do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
