ProHex Shampoo 2% Main Uses
Antimicrobial Support: Acts as a broad-spectrum antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic shampoo for dogs and cats.
Infection Management: Indicated as an aid in treating superficial skin conditions caused by bacteria, fungi, ringworm (dermatophytosis), and yeast (Malassezia spp.).
Skin Barrier Restoration: Helps restore the skin's natural protective layer, which is often compromised in dogs and cats with recurring or chronic skin infections.
 
ProHex Shampoo 2% Active Ingredients
Chlorhexidine Gluconate (2%): The primary active antiseptic agent. Works by disrupting the microbial cell membrane, causing cell death of bacteria and fungi on contact.
Action Mechanism: Unlike systemic antibiotics, chlorhexidine provides both immediate topical kill of pathogens and residual antimicrobial activity — it continues acting on the skin surface for a period after rinsing.
 
ProHex Shampoo 2% How to Use
Frequency: Once or twice weekly, or as directed by your veterinarian.
Application steps:
Shake well before use
Wet the coat thoroughly with cool to tepid water
Massage shampoo into skin and coat to create a generous lather
Leave on for 5–10 minutes — do not rinse immediately; contact time is essential
Rinse thoroughly until all shampoo is removed
Debilitated animals: Consult a veterinarian before use on sick or debilitated pets.
Storage: Store between 15°C–30°C in a cool, dry place. Do not freeze.

Skin irritation: If redness or irritation develops, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.
Eyes and mucous membranes: Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water.
Chlorhexidine sensitivity: Do not use in pets with a known sensitivity to chlorhexidine — consult your veterinarian for an alternative.
For topical use only. Keep out of reach of children.
