Azodyl requires refrigeration. Each order is carefully packed with an insulated kit and ice packs to help maintain temperature. We offer same-day delivery for local orders. Non-local orders are shipped by expedited service to minimize transit time, and an additional shipping fee applies for temperature-controlled packaging and priority handling.
In the event of courier delays, Azodyl is stable at room temperature for up to 10 days (as per manufacturer). However, despite these precautions, there remains a risk of temperature excursion during transit. Please note that we are unable to refund or replace products that require refrigeration.
Important: To prevent temperature-sensitive products from being held in courier warehouses over the weekend, refrigerated items will not be shipped on Thursdays or Fridays. Orders containing such items will be shipped the following Monday to ensure product integrity.
 
Azodyl Probiotic Main Uses:
Azodyl is a veterinary probiotic supplement that support normal kidney detoxification in cats and dogs by helping reduce uremic toxins in the gut.
Azodyl supports normal kidney detoxification by providing beneficial bacteria that metabolize nitrogenous waste products (uremic toxins) that diffuse into the intestines in CKD.
Reported benefits include improvements in BUN/creatinine and overall renal function as early as four weeks
 
Azodyl Probiotic Active Ingredients
Active probiotic strains:
Streptococcus thermophilus KB19 5 billion CFU,
Lactobacillus acidophilus KB27 5 billion CFU, and
Bifidobacterium longum KB31 5 billion CFU;
total labeled CFU per capsule is in the billions (proprietary blend).
Prebiotic component: psyllium husk, supporting activity of the probiotic strains in the colon.
When the kidneys aren’t filtering well, beneficial gut bacteria in the large intestine help break down nitrogen wastes like urea and creatinine, which can lower the amount of toxins in the body. The capsules are designed to resist stomach acid so the bacteria stay alive and are released in the colon (large intestine).
 
Azodyl Probiotic Dosage & Administration
Typical manufacturer guidance (capsules whole), for pets:
<5 lb (≈<2.3 kg): 1 capsule daily.
5–10 lb (≈2.3–4.5 kg): 2 capsules daily (1 capsule a.m., 1 capsule p.m.).
10 lb (≈>4.5 kg): 3 capsules daily (2 capsules a.m., 1 capsule p.m.)
Give capsules whole; do not open, crush, or sprinkle, to protect acid-sensitive strains and ensure release in the large intestine.
Administer on an empty stomach if possible (e.g., at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal), consistently at the same times daily; always provide fresh water.
Requires refrigeration and cold-chain shipping to maintain viability; do not leave at room temperature for extended periods.
 
Azodyl Probiotic Safety & Side Effects
Generally well-tolerated.
Use it long term for chronic kidney disease, and keep it going for the animal’s lifetime if it’s well tolerated and ongoing checkups show it’s helpful.
Effectiveness may be reduced if given concurrently with oral antibiotics; if co-administered, separate by several hours to minimize impact on probiotic viability.
