Strongid T Main Uses
A caramel-flavoured oral dewormer for horses and foals over 8 weeks of age.
Treats parasitic infections caused by the adult stages of large strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, S. equinus, S. edentatus, and Triodontophorus spp.).
Treats small strongyles (Cyathostomum spp. and Cylicostephanus spp.).
Also indicated for pinworms (Oxyuris equi), ascarids/roundworms (Parascaris equorum), and the common tapeworm (Anoplocephala perfoliata).
 
Strongid T Active Ingredients
Pyrantel — 50 mg/mL (as pyrantel pamoate): an anthelmintic (dewormer) used against susceptible intestinal parasites.
Mechanism of Action: pyrantel interferes with the neuromuscular function of susceptible parasites, causing paralysis and allowing the parasites to be eliminated from the gastrointestinal tract.
 
Strongid T Dosage & Administration
For roundworms: administer a single oral dose of 6 mL per 45 kg body weight.
For tapeworms: administer a single oral dose of 12 mL per 45 kg body weight.
Mix the required dose with the horse's regular grain ration or administer orally as a drench.
No fasting is necessary.
Shake well before use.
Follow your veterinarian's recommendations for diagnosis, treatment, and parasite-control schedules.
 
Strongid T Safety & Precautions
For veterinary use only in horses and foals over 8 weeks of age.
It is recommended that severely debilitated animals not be treated with this product.
Do not administer to horses that are to be slaughtered for use in food.
Store between 15°C and 30°C.
Protect from direct sunlight and freezing (0°C).
Keep out of reach of children.
