ProHex-4 Shampoo Main Uses
A broad-spectrum antimicrobial shampoo for dogs and cats used as an aid in the management of superficial bacterial, fungal, and yeast skin conditions that respond to chlorhexidine.
Cleanses well while conditioning the coat, and is often used as part of a veterinarian-directed skin management plan.
 
ProHex-4 Shampoo Active Ingredients
Chlorhexidine digluconate 4%: a broad-spectrum antiseptic with antibacterial and antifungal activity.
Ceramides (NP, AP, EOP), phytosphingosine, cholesterol, and aloe vera: help moisturize and support the skin barrier during treatment.
Mechanism of Action: chlorhexidine binds and disrupts microbial cell membranes, providing residual antimicrobial activity that continues working after rinsing.
 
ProHex-4 Shampoo Directions for Use
Wet the coat, then apply and massage the shampoo into the skin and coat to a lather.
Leave in contact for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Repeat if needed.
Use as directed by your veterinarian, and wash your hands after use.
 
ProHex-4 Shampoo Safety & Precautions
For external (topical) use on animals only. Avoid contact with the eyes.
If skin irritation develops or worsens, stop use and consult your veterinarian.
Keep out of reach of children.
