DermaChlor 4 Shampoo Main Uses
An antiseptic cleansing shampoo used to aid in the treatment of superficial skin conditions caused by bacteria, fungi, ringworm and yeasts that are responsive to chlorhexidine in dogs and cats.
Provides antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic activity.
Intended to be used as an adjunct to veterinarian-supervised protocols for the management of superficial skin conditions.
Formulated specifically for topical use in dogs and cats.
 
DermaChlor 4 Shampoo Active Ingredients
Chlorhexidine gluconate 4% w/v: a broad-spectrum topical antiseptic with antibacterial and antifungal activity.
How It Works: chlorhexidine interacts with microbial cell membranes, helping control susceptible bacteria and fungi on the skin. Its topical antiseptic activity makes it useful as part of veterinarian-directed management of superficial skin conditions.
Non-medicinal ingredients: tromethamine (Tris) USP, edetate disodium dihydrate (EDTA) USP, lauramine oxide, cocamidopropyl betaine, polyacrylate-1 crosspolymer, decyl glucoside, citric acid, PEG-8 laurate, laureth 4, magnesium chloride, magnesium nitrate, methylisothiazolinone, methylisochlorothiazolinone, fragrance, and water.
 
DermaChlor 4 Shampoo Dosage & Administration
Shake well before use.
Thoroughly wet your pet's coat with warm water.
Apply DermaChlor 4 Shampoo to the skin and hair coat and rub until lightly lathered.
Allow the shampoo to remain on the skin and coat for approximately 5–10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with water.
May be used once or twice weekly, or as directed by your veterinarian for the specific condition being treated.
 
DermaChlor 4 Shampoo Safety & Precautions
For topical use only in dogs and cats.
Should not be swallowed.
Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
If irritation develops, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.
Wash hands after use.
Store at room temperature between 15°C and 30°C and protect from freezing.
Keep out of reach of children. For veterinary use only.
