Surolan Ear Drops Main Uses
Indicated for the treatment of otitis externa (outer ear infection) associated with susceptible strains of yeast (Malassezia pachydermatis) and bacteria (Staphylococcus pseudintermedius)
Combines antifungal, antibacterial, and anti‑inflammatory actions to reduce microbial load and ear canal inflammation, supporting symptom relief such as redness, swelling, and discharge in outer ear infections in dogs.
Treat dermatitis and skin infections in dogs and cats caused by yeasts, fungi, bacteria, and ear mites.
 
Surolan Ear Drops Active Ingredients
Miconazole nitrate (23 mg/mL): An antifungal agent that targets yeast and fungal infections
Polymyxin B sulfate (0.5293 mg/mL): An antibacterial component that kills infection-causing bacteria
Prednisolone acetate (5 mg/mL): An anti-inflammatory corticosteroid that reduces swelling, redness, and discomfort associated with ear infections
 
Surolan Ear Drops Dosage & Administration
Standard dosage: 5 drops per affected ear, twice daily for 7 consecutive days
The external ear should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before treatment
Shake the bottle well before each use
After instilling drops, massage the ear to distribute medication
Avoid touching the bottle tip to the ear to prevent contamination
Continue treatment for the entire prescribed duration even if symptoms improve
Frequency, duration, and ear cleaning protocols may be adjusted by the veterinarian
