Ocu-GLO Main Uses
- Eye Health and Vision Support: Formulated to protect vital cells in the cornea, lens, and retina from oxidative damage caused by free radicals, UV exposure, and environmental pollutants.
- Age-Related Eye Health: Supports long-term ocular health in aging dogs, where natural antioxidant levels decline over time.
- Complement to Veterinary Eye Treatment: Designed to complement conventional veterinary eye care, not replace it. Safe for use before and after ophthalmic surgery.
- Multi-Antioxidant Formula: A blend of 12 antioxidants that work synergistically to support ocular health and protect vital eye cells at the DNA and protein levels from oxidative damage.
Ocu-GLO Active Ingredients
- GLO Proprietary Blend (Grape Seed Extract, Lutein, Omega-3 EPA/DHA): The three cornerstone antioxidants. Grape seed extract scavenges free radicals in the lens epithelium; Lutein protects the cornea, lens, and retina from UV and blue light damage; Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) support retinal cell membrane integrity.
- Vitamins C and E: Work together as antioxidants to protect retinal cell membranes and support collagen integrity in ocular tissue. Vitamin C regenerates oxidised Vitamin E for sustained protection.
- Green Tea Extract (EGCG) and Alpha-Lipoic Acid: Provide additional antioxidant activity in ocular tissue and help inhibit enzymes involved in cartilage and cellular breakdown.
- Coenzyme Q10 and Astaxanthin: Support mitochondrial energy production in retinal cells and provide enhanced antioxidant protection against oxidative stress.
- B-Vitamins and Zinc: Support cellular energy metabolism, normal neurological function in the optic nerve, and retinal metabolism of Vitamin A.
- Action Mechanism: All 12 antioxidants work synergistically to quench reactive oxygen species (ROS) in ocular tissue, protecting eye cells at both the DNA and protein levels from oxidative damage.
