Maxi Guard Oral Cleansing Gel Active Ingredients
Zinc Gluconate & Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C): These ingredients form the basis of the product's zinc ascorbate oral cleansing system. Zinc has been shown to help reduce plaque accumulation and gingivitis, while Vitamin C supports normal collagen formation and gum health.
Taurine: A sulfur-containing amino acid that works synergistically with zinc ascorbate to support the antimicrobial action of the formulation.
Inactive Ingredients: Deionized water, methylcellulose, methylparaben, propylparaben, F.D.&C. Blue No. 1. May also contain zinc sulfate.
Mechanism of Action: The zinc ascorbate/taurine complex rapidly eliminates odor-causing bacteria through localized antimicrobial activity. When applied near the upper molars, a natural cleansing action distributes the gel to remote areas of the mouth via saliva, allowing one-step application to reach the full oral cavity.
 
Maxi Guard Oral Cleansing Gel Dosage & Administration
Preparation: Remove cap and applicator tip; pour the enclosed Vitamin C vial into the gel bottle; replace cap and shake until dissolved. The gel is ready when it appears blue or green.
Application: Apply a pea-sized drop to each side above the back upper molar teeth and gums. For larger dogs, apply directly from the applicator tip. For cats and small dogs, use a finger or swab.
Frequency: Use daily for best results. May be used with or without brushing.
Storage: Store in the refrigerator or cool, dark cabinet after mixing. Shelf life is approximately one year in preferred storage conditions. Discard if color fades from blue/green.
Missed dose: If a dose is missed, resume normal daily use. No doubling required.
